About

Coffee and bicycles seem to define my urban existence. I believe that the best way for exploring cities is on the seat of a bicycle, walking, and public transit. I work for The Table Network and am launching Intrepid.

Over the past several years I had been working with local churches in cities across North America teaching them about the changing dynamics of the city from urban renewal, gentrification, the creative class and the creative economy, and the impacts of active transportation (walkability and bikeability) on local churches. Much of my research and writing during this time have been about encouraging churches to become more bikeable and bike-friendly.

In the past year I've made the transition to launch Intrepid from scratch. The mission of Intrepid is to partner with and mobilize local churches to plant new churches across North America in under-reached and off-the-beaten-path communities, particularly communities that have been in economic decline and are transitioning to revitalize their local economy. To see churches planted where people come to Christ and the community is lifted through new businesses, non-profits, job creation, and more.
